Sreenivasan Jain is managing editor of NDTV, India's most respected 24-hour news and current affairs broadcaster.
He presently anchors an award-winning weekly ground reportage and investigative show, Truth vs Hype, which focuses on political corruption, conflict zones and untold stories of social and economic tensions.
He has been with NDTV since 1995, during which he did stints as managing editor of NDTV's business channel, and as head of NDTV's Mumbai bureau for eight years, apart from anchoring major primetime news telecasts and discussion-based shows, including India Decides, Star News on Sunday, and The Newshour.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, he is involved with Commitment to Kashmir, an initiative that raises funds to support young craftspersons who are keeping traditional craft practices alive in the Kashmir valley.
Sreenivasan was selected as Journalist of the Year at the Ramnath Goenka Awards in 2014. Other awards include the World Silver Medal at the New York Festival, the Hero Honda Indian Television Academy Awards, the Indian Telly Awards, the ENBA Awards, and the GQ Man of the Year (Media) in 2009. He was a recipient of the Eisenhower Fellowship in 2000.
